Pricing

We offer competitive pricing for all lessons, ensuring accessibility without compromising quality. We offer purchasing by the individual lesson, by the monthly membership, or by an 8 session package based on our operating calendar. All lesson cost are due up front before scheduling.  An Orientation lesson is to be scheduled once per student, and is not a stand in for private lessons. Pricing is as listed. Select "Pricing Plans" or click here to see our discount packages. Most options listed are *automatic monthly charges* so check before confirming at checkout.

Membership/Monthly

Your monthly tuition is a recurring charge, when you pick a plan that says tuition or membership ,it will auto-renew monthly. This promises a lesson for the weeks we are open, at your preferred timeslot.

Individual Session

Students are always welcome to not commit and purchase as they can schedule, however it is required you pay at the time of booking then. We do not hold unpaid reservations. This is for those who need ease of scheduling, for those who prefer bigger savings and a set time, a commitment of Term or Monthly Pass will make the most sense.

Term/8 Lessons

Here, you pay slightly more upfront than memberships, but way less per hour for 8 sessions to booked within their designated term. Our terms are like semesters, and run between 7.5-12 weeks. Lessons do not roll over. Make sure you have time to use your 8 before purchase. You must book your 8 lessons.

Head Instructor

Hannah Nusbaum

My name is Hannah Nusbaum, and at Surefire Horsemanship, I am eager to share my deep love for horses with other riders. From a young age, I’ve committed myself to all things equine—whether it’s practicing my riding skills through clinics 14 hours away, or diving into saddle making with a master saddle maker, or nutrition and bodywork certification courses.
I aim to focus on nurturing aspiring horse trainers and horseman, not just riders, by sharing techniques that encourage a deep understanding of the horses' natural needs and understanding.

Having worked with hundreds of horses in my program, and hundreds of riders over the years, I know firsthand the solace they provide and the personal growth they can aid in. I'm happy to share the joy and healing that come from a bond with these amazing, humbling, forgiving creatures.
We discuss everything from their own herd culture; to biomechanics understanding of cues during riding, and how to adapt to each individual animal. learn more about my resume here: Resume and History

Assistant instructor

Vicky Zimmer

Horses have been a lifelong passion for Vicky Zimmer. From her earliest rides in both Western and English styles to years spent volunteering at a therapeutic riding center, Vicky has always believed in the healing power of horses. In 2017, she began her journey as an instructor as a PATH instructor-in-training. She then joined Katie Neely at the Neely Equestrian Center as full-time instructor in 2018.
When Katie retired, Vicky carried the torch running Churchill Equestrian Center out of the former Liberty Farms for several years. Even after the property changed hands, she remained dedicated to her horses and her riders, ensuring that the community she built could continue to thrive.
Vicky works with riders of all ages and abilities, though starting beginners out on their equestrian journey especially brings her joy. She has a special gift for connecting with those who face emotional or cognitive challenges, helping them find confidence calm, and joy through equine partnership. Her instruction offers a safe, welcoming space for anyone who loves horses and seeks the many gifts they bring.
