Orientation Age under 9 (45min)
Orientation Age under 9 (45min)
Evaluation with head instructor. Shortened, more like a pony ride. Still includes grooming.
Service Description
This is more of a pony ride after grooming and tacking for those who cannot focus or do much physical activity. This is not for those wanting to ride much of the hour. Hannah has been teaching for 18 years and has a background in trauma informed teaching and youth with different needs and has had multiple training for patients in clinic settings and their sensitivities. While we are not a therapeutic center, the instructor does have provider training, cpr training, and familiarity with ASD and ADHD. Time included in this 45 minute session includes: grooming, tacking up, safety talk and a very short ride- just a few laps 10 minutes or so to assess child in a teaching setting and interaction with horses and environment.. A private mini-orientation is 45 minutes of instructor time with the head instructor, working on a combo of life skills, fitness, and horsemanship. Students that take this evaluation must be under age 9, but be able to focus for 4-5 minutes at a time, be safely able to hold themselves up and communicate and understand "yes" and "no". If a family would like an evaluation for more than one rider, turns will need to be taken during the hour option which cost a bit more, but acclamations and add-ons can be done for siblings or friends. . Private riding lesson means 100% of the instruction is for a single student, but doesn't guarantee sole use of facilities.

Without your forms being signed and your agreement, you cannot ride. You will not be riding during a tour or handling horses at all. That will happen during your orientation lesson. A tour is not a requirement but is encouraged, as the time will be taken out of your first lesson if you haven't toured, to give you one. 2. Tours Are Non-Riding: Riding begins at your first lesson, not during the free tour. 3. No-Call, No-Show Policy: Failing to show up for a tour without notice may result in losing future scheduling privileges. We have a waitlist and aim to accommodate as best we can. We also do reach out to fellow instructors when we receive no call no shows without a good reason. 4. Missed Tours: If you skip the tour, it will be covered during your required Orientation Ride, which must be paid at booking. We do not accept students without an orientation ride one on one. We DO have a group lessons, but we do not take someone's word for their ability to control a horse in a group setting so we must see the student ride. It is a free tour, but starting 9/1/2025 there is a $10 cancellation fee at 4 hour mark before your appointment, and $20 if you cancel the hour before. If you chose to return and show up for a scheduled lesson the money can be put towards your 8 week session or monthly plan for the first invoice. 5. Rescheduling: We’re flexible! If you can’t make it, just let us know so you can reschedule without issue. This is the service we are lenient on, but still give us notice or tell us as soon as you can. We are very busy so stopping to reschedule for you for a free service isn't always possible. Please feel free to rebook at a better time if you cannot make your initial appointment. Thank you for your cooperation!
