Experience personalized guidance with our Tiny Trotters Private-lessons at SurefireHorsemanship. Designed for children generally under 9, these one-on-one sessions emphasize lead line riding, keeping lessons gentle and affordable for both the little ones and the horses. Our supportive facility embraces every rider’s journey, fostering confidence through kind, authentic horsemanship while maintaining this class is ONLY for those approved after orientation, it is ONLY for those doing less than 10% trot work. Older kids, those wanting to have more speed in their lessons, and adults will need to pick from other options.

Tiny Trotters Private Lesson Policies Please Read Before Enrolling – Full packet will be emailed upon registration. Tiny Trotters Private Lessons at Surefire Horsemanship are designed for children generally under age 9 who are approved after orientation. These are gentle, primarily lead-line sessions with less than 10% trot work. This class is not for older riders, those seeking more speed, or adults. Lessons are 45 minutes of instructor time. Payment Options, pay as you book for a single lesson rate. Must pay at time of booking. Monthly Membership: • Secures a recurring weekly lesson spot when lessons are operating (not a guaranteed four per month). • Invoices are due on or before the 1st. Lessons are not scheduled without payment. • A valid card must remain on file. • 30+ days notice (from next due date) required to stop billing. • Repeated late/declined payments result in removal. If starting between the 3rd–20th, you will receive an extra 21 days to complete that partial month before billing resets to the 1st–3rd cycle. Term Enrollment (8 Lessons): • Terms run 7.5–10 weeks and include 8 lessons. • Families schedule their own 8 lessons within the term. • Term invoices are sent two weeks before the next term; unpaid by the day before start = assumed break. • Late fee: $25 after due date + 10% weekly. • Use it or lose it — lessons do not roll over beyond the term. Refunds are not offered in most situations and are always at instructor discretion. Dismissal for behavior does not entitle refund. Scheduling & Attendance • Lessons cannot be booked or changed less than 24 hours in advance. • Rotating or fluctuating weekly schedules cannot be accommodated. • Excessive canceling/rebooking may require per-lesson prepayment. • Please do not monopolize the calendar. Cancellations & Makeups • One reschedule per month allowed for weekly students with 24+ hours notice. • Additional makeups are not guaranteed and are at instructor discretion. • Missed lessons do not roll over (monthly or term). • Term families must fit all 8 lessons inside the term window. Medical emergencies are handled case-by-case. Holidays, Weather & Communication Rates are based on a 42-week operating year to account for holidays and weather. Winter months may run 3 of 4 weeks. Breaks are announced 5–6 weeks in advance. Updates are posted via Facebook, website/app group, email, and the barn bulletin board. Clients are responsible for staying informed.
