Service Description

Time includes grooming and tacking up unless skilled enough to be invited to come early- orange or above level. Levels are BASED ON HORSEMANSHIP NOT RIDING ABILITY. We do deep dive and discuss everything from biomechanics, to classical versus traditional riding as student progresses, horse health and more. This is generally a ridden lesson, 45 minutes start to finish, with some games, some drills, some discipline focused patterns, and lots of discussing horse behavior and why things work. A private lesson is 45-50 minutes of time with the head instructor, working on a combo of life skills, fitness, and horsemanship. Specializing on special needs, anxiety ridden, trauma experienced students. More time is spent on riding and lesson prep or ground work as student progresses. Private lessons can involve other riders if needed, but charge is per rider per session. Private riding lesson means 100% of the instruction is for a single student, the ring may have another horse occasionally.

Cancellation Policy

Lesson Policies – Please Read Before Enrolling- Your FULL packet will be emailed to you. Payments & Refunds: TERM STUDENTS- 2 lessons on average a week or less, if you need to plug in 3-4 in a week due to travel or break, please just let us know that's why. Terms stretch 7.5-10ish weeks, always 8 lessons. Refunds are not offered in most situations and are always at instructor discretion. Dismissal from the program due to behavior does not entitle a refund. A valid card must be kept on file. Term payments will be invoiced TWO WEEKS from start date for the next term. If they aren't received the day before the term starts, it is assumed you're taking a break. Late fees will be added, $25 the day after due, and 10% weekly. Rollovers will NOT happen outside of the term, use it or lose it. Lesson Structure: Lessons will range 45 minutes- 1 hour and 15 minutes depending on private or group, however they maybe shortened if less show up to the group. You will schedule your own 8 lessons within the term. Scheduling & Attendance: Lessons cannot be booked or changed less than 20 hours in advance, even if the system allows it. Rotating or frequently changing schedules cannot be accommodated. Consistent attendance is expected; no makeups and refunds for anything except medical emergencies and instructor discretion. Cancellations & Makeups: One reschedule per month is allowed for weekly students with 24+ hours notice. Additional makeups or reschedules are at instructor discretion. Missed lessons from the term do not roll over and are subject to availability. Fit your 8 in within the 7.5-10 weeks, book them early if you must. Holidays, Weather & Communication: Rates are based on a 42-week year, accounting for holidays and weather breaks. We do not operate every winter week but aim for at least 3 of 4 working weeks during difficult months. Breaks are announced at least 6 weeks in advance. Updates are posted via Facebook, the website/app group, email, and the barn bulletin board. Clients are responsible for staying informed. Emergencies: Handled at instructor discretion.
